Den Haag, Netherlands – 17 October 2022: BlackSmithSoft B.V. has become a Microsoft Partner focusing on developing cloud-based solutions on top of Azure and Microsoft SharePoint. With over 95% of the construction industry using Microsoft products, the partnership will allow BlackSmithSoft to expand the functionality of applications such as DoCheck QR to SharePoint users.

DoCheck QR was created over two years ago for Autodesk Construction Cloud users to track documents residing in BIM 360 or Autodesk BUILD. Earlier this month, BlackSmithSoft released a new version of DoCheck QR, allowing users to automatically stamp QR to documents in SharePoint folders.

This new feature allows SharePoint users to check if a printed or emailed document is the latest and approved one. Typically engineering and construction companies have critical documents which need to be tracked continuously including:

  • Drawings, work orders, site plans, and maps
  • Manuals
  • Forms – inspection, safety, requisition, equipment related, QA/QC, applications
  • Memos and bulletin board items

DoCheck QR allows users to scan a QR code with any device that can read QR without having to download any special application.
